Travel Tax Exemption For Joining Trade Fairs and Missions

Exporters joining international trade fairs, exhibitions, selling missions, following the signing of E.O. 589 signed 08 Dec 2006, are exempted from paying the travel tax with effect 23 March 2007. The government recognizes the importance of trade fairs and exhibitions as a vital component of export promotion strategy. These trade fairs and exhibitions must be duly endorsed by CITEM , Export Development Council, (EDC), Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR) or PHILEXPORT.

Processing time for the issuance of the Certificate of Exemption is two (2) working days. Processing Fee of PHP 200.00 is also waived by the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA.). Requests for travel tax exemption shall not exceed P20 million annually,

1. A copy of the passport page where photo appears
2. Contract Form showing the booth size
3. Travel Tax Exemption Application Form
