Environmental Management System Program Begins

An awareness session to CEO's and representatives of participating member companies was held at FAME Foundation Conference Room yesterday, 07 Aug. The afternoon session was conducted by MS. CATHY ALVARADO and attended by Avatar, Vanya Creations, Indian Summer, AB Soberano International, Tambuli Fashion & Home Accessories, Cyprea, representatives from CFIF and Ms. Miriam Bacalso. The session covered topics on the environmental risks and hazardous wastes, managing wastes and its proper disposal, global outlook on environment which include global warming, depletion of ozone layer and more importantly, the relevance of having an EMS Program that will eventually translate to cost savings.
